I began working with Granite since relocating from the UK to Australia in 2013. Granite have been instrumental in helping me build capable delivery teams for the last 10 years.

I have known the Granite team for circa 5 years, initially as a candidate and then as a client. During the last few years Granite have completed a number of project across the business outlined below;
Approximately 3 years ago, in my capacity as the Head of Human Resources we embarked upon a strategic global search project to appointment 15 key roles. To ensure the best and brightest talent was identified the search was a global search, made particularly difficult as it was conducted during the pandemic. It involved deep market research and analysis including reviews of published and cited work as the majority of these roles were niche roles in very tight and highly contested markets. We have strict D&I requirements and the Talent search model that Granite Consulting developed fulfilled all of these. Possible talent was identified across the globe and from a long list of around 250 we found great talent to fulfill our requirements. Our institution can be a bureaucratic and difficult place to work at times, especially when making $3 million and 20 years decisions on talent. The team at Granite showed great resilience and flexibility to ensure a successful outcome with great attention to detail and service.
On a broader scale our organisation recently (~2.5 years ago) embarked on a major change initiative to re-design the professional service offering across IT, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, etc. into a shared service model. During this time there were very aggressive timelines to do the work in an extremely sensitive environment as it was highly visible both internally and externally including complex union consultation. At this time the business didn’t have the capability or capacity internally to complete this program of work and so as the work in to conclusion the Granite team were engaged on a broader scale to take ownership to implement a plan to resource a large number of open positions effecting around 350 people in an eight week period were resolved. This work was done across all the functions mentioned earlier. Granite’s flexibility and ability to work accurately at scale in a high pace, high pressure environment was evident. Although I was not the lead contact on this project I believe the work was completed with great success, on time and on budget.
